Inspiration from SCREAM Poster and Female Victim Explained

I decided to take inspiration for some more photographs from the 1996 Scream film directed by Wes Craven.

I thought it was interesting that the eyes and a hand were a focus for the poster, because that is what you're drawn in to. I like how the hand frames the model's face, and how the text is not obscuring her face in any kind of way.
I thought this would be an interesting way of portraying my magazine front cover, rather than my poster, because it's quite ambiguous and makes the audience want to know more about the magazine.

below shows my photographs, inspired by Scream. I used a more gorey, horror hand, to hide her face.
In PicMonkey, I then faded out the other hand of the werewolf creature so it was more pale and scary. I then edited the girl's eyes so they were bright, similar to the Scream poster.

THE FEMALE VICTIM- THE REPRESENTATION AND CHARACTERISATION

I decided to have a female victim, who is fighting for her life, to have a more modern twist on the typical horror film. I took inspiration from films such as Scream by Wes Craven as well as The Descent by Neil Marshall.
I liked how they used powerful, female roles who lead the film, against the convention of a strong male lead. I wanted to add to the niche of having a strong, independent female lead.
I wanted her to be quite feminine, so she wasn't a typical androgynous Carol Clover final girl.
